Hooked is a poem by Chaucer Cameron from ‘In an Ideal World I’d Not Be Murdered’
Film by Helen Dewbery.
‘It was an ordinary evening, drear, overcast…’ Hooked is a poetry film with two voices – one voice speaking an internal song. It is a way of re-telling stories without re-traumatising or fetishizing the events surrounding it.
Poetry film is an ideal medium to express the non-linear, fractured nature of traumatic experience that can bear a burden that seems impossible.
